dstillmanThis is a generic disk error. There's no way for us to tell you specifically what the problem is, but the most common cause is having your Zotero data directory on a network filesystem or in a cloud storage folder (where it should never be). It could also be due to an actual physical problem with your disk or due to security software interfering with Zotero's ability to access the disk.

xiaojl_hThank you for your answer. I tried to restart my computer and ran zotero in safe mode. Uninstall and reinstall still failed. How can I solve this problem? Do you have any better suggestions?

dstillmanedited 12 days agoNo, as I say, there's no way for us to tell you what the problem is — it's not a problem in Zotero itself. But if you've moved your data directory to a custom location, that's the problem.
