Zotero 7, Onedrive PDF, Attanger and Zotmoov, Zotero Sync

I am sorry if its been discussed. I had zotero 6 and zotfile plugin. Using it via onedrive. Lately I uploaded to zotero 7 and find out its not working anymore.

Checked here and find Zotmoov and Attanger. However with home computer I cannot acces to files onedrive (i did upgrade first on office computer) Now I am stuck if I need to check the tick for auto sync without full text for zotero or not.

And what is the exact solution for using zotero in android, 2 computers and onedrive storage?

    With Zotero 6 Preferences you probably had configured 'Linked Attachment Base Directory' to the OneDrive folder. Have you set such setting (or an equivalent one) with Zotero 7?

    Zotmoov or attanger under Zotero v7 will replicate Zotfile's operation. Zotero's enhanced file renaming is now used, in place of Zotfile's.

    So as long as your linked PDF attachment files are synced via Onedrive so that they are present on each computer, everything should work with data syncing turned ON (file syncing is only needed if you have any PDFs that are not linked files but instead are under Zotero\storage).

    If the PDF's Onedrive parent paths are *different* on each computer, set a Linked Attachment Base Directory (LABD) in Zotero settings on each computer, so Zotero knows where to look for them when opening them (the LABD has no effect on where linked files get *stored*). Note that if you have set a LABD on either computer, even if the Onedrive PDF paths are the same you will need to set it on both computers.

    Also, Onedrive likely has to be set for mirrored files, not streaming.

    Linked PDFs do not work with the Zotero mobile apps. But Zotmoov has now added a version of Send/Get From Tablet similar to Zotfile's.

    I have run into a similar situation and I am not sure if Zotmoov is the solution.

    I am holding a library in a folder on Sharepoint. The library is being shared between members of my group and sync as a Group library. All members have set the directory to the same folder on Sharepoint.

    Everyone can access to the content and pdf files perfectly, however, a pdf file cannot be sync on other devices after adding a comment locally on a computer. Interestingly, the pdf file is sync to the Group library online (i.e. I can see the comment is added to the pdf file).

    I understand one has to close Zotero and allow OneDrive to sync the file properly. For my case, is Zotmoov the solution? I cannot host the library locally as there are a lot of pdf attachments.

    Any comments on this matter would be appreciated.

    You can absolutely not have your Zotero library in OneDrive/SharePoint and Zotmoov et al won't work because group libraries don't support linked files.

    The only way to share files in a group is Zotero File Storage

    I planned to subscribe to the unlimited Zotero File Storage.

    Does it mean only me, as the admin, need to set the directory to connect with my OneDrive folder hosting Zotero's pdf attachments and all other member would just need to sync with the Group Library without connecting to OneDrive?

    Why do you want to use OneDrive at all? You should just have the data directory in a local (ideally: the default) location, not worry about OneDrive, and rely on Zotero sync for sharing the files (and Zotero database) with your group.

    @adamsmith Yes and thanks. I have realised the sync issues of using cloud drive as the host instead of a local drive. Thanks again for the suggestion. looks like it is the only way to go to store my ever-growing library.
