unlinked account deleted all files

I unlinked my account deleted the local files then relinked it to try and get the zotmoov plugin to work properly, instead all my online files were deleted

    Yes, you deleted your local items and then synced, so the online items were deleted.

    Unlinking stops Zotero from syncing — it doesn't separate the local items from your account. Otherwise you would never be able to set up syncing again without ending up with a total mess of duplicated data.

    If you just did this, you should be able to restore from the last automatic backup.

    Thanks, I did do that but all my pdfs are now unlinked from the citations and adding them back in causes me too loose annotations, the only way to get them back appears to be to manually tell zotereo where they are in the backup folder for each one

    The database backup doesn't include files, but I've relinked the files that you had previously uploaded to Zotero Storage.

    @stoiclemming also note that the zotmoov plugin does not require anything like the steps you described, in order to work properly.
