Saving Zotero Library on a Network Drive

I was wondering if it is possible to save the Zotero Library on a network drive (not a cloud service) so I can access it from different work computer / multiple people in a team that have access to the same network drive can use it? The normal syncing by using Zotero online is not possible.
I have read conflicting statements on this, so I want to make sure and would appreciate any help on this.

    No. Functionally, network and cloud drive are the same, so the same issues apply, and if you're actively planning to access it with multiple people it's arguably even worse than putting the data directory in Dropbox.
