Cannot See PDF in Private Group Library (Web Library)

Hi everyone,

I’m having trouble accessing a PDF of a paper my colleague added to our private group library. She confirmed that the file is there and visible on her end (in the Web Library), but I cannot see it when I access the Web Library.

We are both members of the group, and it is set to private. I can see the paper entry in the library, but the attached PDF is greyed out for me. I’ve tried refreshing and logging in/out, but no luck so far.

Any ideas on what might be causing this? Could it be a permissions issue or a sync problem?

  • See Files Not Syncing. The group owner is at their storage quota. (I'd guess that your colleague is just looking at the attachment item, not actually opening the file in the web library, in which case this has nothing to do with you.)
  • @dstillman, thank you for your help.
    In fact, my colleague says her account still has storage space to spare.
    So either, she is not seeing the her storage quota correctly, or this is not the issue.

    Just one clarification, what do you mean by looking at the attachment item? Is it possible to do on a different device that the main desktop computer?

    This is all covered in Files Not Syncing. The file has to be viewable in the online library. Just seeing that there's an attachment isn't meaningful.
