Zotero unable to sync after plan upgrade

I reached the file limit of 300 MB for my Zotero account, and I purchased an upgrade to the 6 GB plan. The website clearly shows I'm only using 5% of my storage. But when I try to sync from my Zotero instance locally, I get this error:

```
You have reached your Zotero File Storage quota. Some files were not uploaded. Other Zotero data will continue to sync to the server.
See your zotero.org account settings for additional storage options.
```

I have tried resetting sync with the "Replace Online Library" option checked, and it still doesn't work.
  • In most cases, this is the result of syncing with a different account. Check the account in your sync settings with the username you used to ugrade (i.e. the one here)
  • thank you, that was indeed the issue.

    Now I'm wondering if there's a way to merge my accounts or transfers the storage from the other account to the one I'm actually trying to use.
  • Zotero is usually willing to switch recently bought storage subscriptions that were bought for the wrong account to a different account. email storage@zotero.org with details & a link to this thread
  • Thank you for your help!
