"Unlink citations" in LibreOffice removes all formatting
I was going to submit my thesis proposal that I wrote with the assistance of the Zotero plugin for LibreOffice. After saving a copy of the paper for submission and unlinking citations in that copy, I found to my dismay that all formatting in the citations in the copy (italics, small capitals, etc.) had been removed after unlinking citations, forcing me to add these formatting marks manually and defeating the principal purpose of using Zotero.
I am running Zotero on a Mac running MacOS 14.7.4 using LibreOffice 25.2.0.3. To ensure that this was not a bug from an older version, I upgraded Zotero from 7.0.11 to 7.0.15 and encountered the same error. I reinstalled the LibreOffice plugin and still had the same error.

You can use the "convert field to text" option in the menu.
