Duplicate Items: how to indicated two items are NOT duplicates?

Is there also an option indicate that two items are not duplicates ? Or if not, it there a workaround ?

    I would also really appreciate this.
    Having two non-dups _constantly_ in my Duplicates view means I have to repeatedly watch out to NOT merge them, every time I get some real dups to merge.

    The potential for accidentally merging them when I need them to stay as independent citations just ... makes me itch.
