Import keywords/tags

With Zotero 7 is there a way to import/add tags to the tag list?
For instance, I want to include terms from a controlled vocabulary into my tag list so that I can easily assign tags from this vocabulary.

Is there a way to do this, or something similar that might also achieve the desired outcome?

    The only way to create tags is to add them to an item -- you can just import a lits, but that means that you could assign a long list of tags (just paste a newline-separated list) to a stand-in item and those would then be available.

    Thanks @adamsmith. Interesting workaround. Though it doesn't really scale and isn't ideal, this workaround will generally achieve the desired result.

    It would be cool if Zotero included the ability to link to external vocabularies/thesauri (e.g., Getty Vocabularies, Library of Congress, ERIC, Wikidata). Maybe something to consider for future developments?

    I agree for the linked vocab list. Plus if we had additionnal fields to sort keywords like methodology, object and theory, it would be amazing to facilitate litterature reviews.

    I was thinking that instead of having only one tag list, it would be nice to have several specialized tag fields. This can be done with nested tags I guess : https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/100654/feature-request-allow-tags-to-be-grouped-and-ordered.

    By " linked vocab list", I meant I would also like to have tags that can be linked to wikidata items because I am interested in sync with Wikidata in general. And for this, it could be interesting to have new fields that would correspond to Wikidata properties, for example "main topic" (P921) or "study type" (P8363). If we had some autocompletion with wikidata items for tagging it could help to reconcile Zotero with Wikidata.

    I don't have the technical skills to assess whether it can do what you want, but this project is interesting : https://github.com/datalogism/SciLEx/
    I think there is the potential to use API to get concepts from existing classifications (anticScholar OpenAlex Istex IEEE HAL Elsevier DBLP Arxiv Springer). But I have no idea how an API works so... :D
