Any differences with Lab/Institutional subscriptions, beyond storage?
Hi all,
I'm working to get Zotero adopted at my institution (healthcare organisation in the UK) and need a few confirmations for my Info Governance / Intellectual Property / IT oversight people:
- does the purchase of a Lab or Institutional subscription bring _any_ changes in functionality, support, configuration, admin oversight, etc.? Anything beyond the unlimited storage.
- is Institutional access based on email domain? All our email accounts are on the @nhs.net domain, the same as most other NHS institutions in the country.
- is there any mechanism to actively activate/deactivate accounts in an Institutional account?
I think I know the answer to these questions, but I would appreciate an official reply I can present to the IT oversight team.
Thanks!

Institution subscriptions are based on email domain. They are priced with the expectation that only a minority of members of the institution will use Zotero. Lab subscriptions are based on a managed list of lab members.
For you situation, I would suggest emailing storage@zotero.org with details about your group size and they can help you figure out what would make sense for your use case.
