How to locate the current position of the pdf reader?

Hi,

I am using the internal PDF reader of Zotero 7. How can I locate the current paragraph position in its outline?

For example,
could a feature be added so that when I am browsing a page, the outline automatically displays the corresponding position? Or when I select a paragraph in a PDF, pressing a certain key will show its position in the outline?

@dstillman Thank you! However, the current feature only highlights the lowest-level visible node in the outline—i.e., a node whose parent is expanded.

I was thinking of a button or similar functionality that navigates directly to the lowest-level node (the leaf), regardless of whether it's visible or not.

Additionally, if I expand the highlighted node, the highlight remains unchanged until I scroll slightly, which isn't ideal (see the GIF).

@alibazrafshan It's not always precise down to the lowest level. However, let us know if there are other PDF viewers that offer better precision.

@martynas_b Foxit PDF Reader includes a button ("Find Current Bookmark") that navigates to the lowest-level section in the outline, as shown in the GIF below.

Maybe we could have something like that, such as a context menu option or a button to instantly reveal the current lowest-level location in the outline. PDF.js in Firefox also has a button for this.
