I am not sure what it is and if I press it it doesn't appear the options "add/edit citation", "add note"...I attached to this message an screenshot. It asks me to log in.
Can anyone help me? Thank you.

There is probably some kind of confusion. How did you install Zotero? Leaving the the Word plugin aside for a moment, can you run the desktop program itself?
I installed Zotero program and the connector from www.zotero.org. The plugin does appears en Google Docs but not in Word in my laptop (the Refworks-RCM plugin appears in Word but not in Google Docs). I unistall uninstall and installed again the zotero connector but I have the same situation. And I cannot figure out how to quit Refworks-RCM from Word or from my computer.
And yes, I can run the desktop zotero program itself, no problem.
In any case, there are instructions for people with word processor plug-in problems:
https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting
Note that the sequence of the suggested steps is important. it is also useful to keep a note of the outcome of each step to facilitate the continuation of this discussion if necessary.
Thank you for the instructions link. At least, I can use the zotero plugin in Google Docs.
