Duplicate entries are created all by themselves

This problem is different, I think, from the other queries on duplicates in this discussion. Often when I open Zotero 2.0b7.6, as I did a few minutes ago, I find that most or all of my entries appear in duplicate. There's no possibility, I think, that their original sources have changed. This is apparent even before I have touched the keyboard. This has happened with whole groups, and with items within a group. I'd sure like to be able to avoid this. Thanks.

    that's probably somehow connected to syncing. E.g. if you create a second library using RDF export/import and then sync the two you would get all duplicates.

    I have never synched with Zotero. As I say in my original post, the duplication happens before I have even touched the keyboard. I'm the only person who uses this computer. --Fred Powledge.

    It's highly unlikely that there's a bug that would cause this in Zotero.

    By "groups" do you mean collections?

    What do you mean by "There's no possibility, I think, that their original sources have changed."?

    When you say this happens often, are you saying that you delete the duplicates, and this happens again?
