Saving to a specific library

When I click the save button on an article, the popup indicating which Zotero collection the item is being saved to stopped appearing. I have to go into My Library, find the article, then drag it into the desired collection folder.
  • Can you provide a screenshot? Generally this would mean you're saving directly to the online library (which you would've had to give it explicit permission to do) instead of saving to the Zotero app.
  • Thank you so much for your response. Of course, now it's working just fine! Yesterday, I kept getting "The Zotero Connector was unable to communicate with the Zotero desktop application." I couldn't load the URL in any browser. After changing some settings (and I have no clue what I'm doing) Zotero started to work, but without asking which collection I would use. For some reason, it's fine today.
