Can no longer add Citations in Word (Windows on ARM)

edited 10 days ago
I've been using for the last months the beta version for Windows on Arm without any issue. Today, after Zotero updated itself, I was unable to add new notes to my documents.

Here are the steps to reproduce the problem:
1. create a new doc in Word
2. Type some words
3. Add/Edit Citation
4. Choose citation style
5. Pop-up window with "Zotero experienced an error updating your document. Would you like to view troubleshooting instructions?"

I submitted the following debug ID: D1440291365

Not sure how to solve the problem.
  • I've tried different solutions suggested on the forum with luck.

I managed to solve the problem by uninstalling the beta version and installing the stable one.
  • Thanks for the report. We'll look to fix this before releasing these changes on the non-beta release. I've created an issue to track it.
  • @Pixm79 Could you clarify what version of Word this is? Open a Word document, choose File from the top left corner, and then click either Account or Help in the left nav bar. You’ll see your Office version and information under Product information, on the right side of the window.
  • @adomasven Thanks!
The Word versione Is 2501, build 18429.20133
  • You are running a preview (beta) version of Word. Could you switch to a non-beta channel and check if you can reproduce the issue with the Zotero Beta?
  • Hi, from what I can see (I am attaching a screenshot) I am not running a beta version of Word, as I am not on a beta or developer programme.

  • Ah yes, my mistake.

We have pushed an update to the Zotero Beta. Would you test that and see if you still get an error?

@adomasven I've just tried with the latest beta, but the problem persists. Here is the ID: D1801270746
    Thanks!
  • We've updated the Beta again. The issue should be fixed. Could you check and confirm that it works fine for you with the most recent version?
