How to Make DOI a Clickable Blue Hyperlink in Zotero (APA 7)

Hello everyone,

I am using Zotero with the APA 7 citation style and want to ensure that DOI links in my exported bibliography automatically appear as clickable blue hyperlinks, so they open the corresponding article in a browser when clicked.

Currently, the DOI appears as plain text without hyperlink formatting. Is there a way to configure Zotero so that DOI links in the exported bibliography are formatted as blue hyperlinks according to APA 7 standards? Do I need to modify the CSL file, or is there a built-in setting I can adjust?

You can just run Word's autoformat over the selected bibliography and (assuming you have Word's hyperlinking feature turned on, which it is by default) it'll hyperlink the DOIs. See https://wordribbon.tips.net/T012976_AutoFormatting_a_Document.html for autoformat

@adamsmith Thank you for the solution you provided. I really hope that in the future, this feature can work without having to unlink the citation first so that the citations can still be updated.
