Download group libraries files and does it require extra strorage?

Is it possible to download files from a group library into my personal library?

If so, does this require taking up extra storage space in my library? Should I purchase extra storage if I do this?

Any insight would be helpful, thanks!

    What do you mean by downloading? If you are a member of a group, but not the owner, you can sync all those group files to your computers, and they won't count towards your quota. Group library attachments only counts towards group owner's quota.

    If you drag/copy the group items with attachments into your "My Library", that creates new items in your personal library, and that counts towards your storage quota.

    (Remember that Zotero runs fine and syncs items with you above your quota. It is just that attachment files won't sync between computers/web library above that quota.)
