Trouble with file sync
Hello everyone and sorr if this has been already posted. I have been checking the documentation and forums and didn't find a way to solve my issue. It has to do with files sync and it started once I updated to the latests Zotero version.
So far I had the following settings in my sync tab in preferences:
- Sync attachments in My Library with WEBDAV. Points to a Nextcloud instance provided by the institution I work for.
- Sync attachments in group libraries using Zotero.
When updated to Zotero 7 I started getting error messages when retrieving files (by double clicking in them) in the Desktop Zotero version (I'm running it on Debian and Ubuntu computers, one in my workplace, one at home). The errors say the file is not present in the local path (zotero-snap/common/Zotero/storage). But, shouldn't Zotero look for it in the path provided by the Webdav settings?
I though maybe I could sync the whole zotero folder, storage included, but I'm guessing it is not a good idea since most likely any server malfunction in Nextcloud could create faulty DB files and mess it up.
Am I missing something? Any help will be very wellcome, or pointing me to any links that could help me sort it out.
Thanks in advance
Jokin
