Built-in Dictionary or Plugin for Zotero ?

I wonder if there is a dictionary feature in Zotero reading pdf . I often come across words whose meaning I do not know, even in my own language, and I have to interrupt my work to look up their definition elsewhere.

Is there an option or a plugin that would allow me to quickly display a word's definition directly in Zotero, without leaving the interface? If not, is there an alternative solution that integrates well with the tool?

This is a good suggestion and seems like a straightforward plugin. I'm still looking around to see if there is a list of requested plugins where users vote for their most desired.

(On a Mac, you can use cmd-ctrl-d (or 3-finger tap) to trigger the dictionary on any word in the PDF reader.)

Given you are on Windows, there are still some possible solutions. If you are on Windows 10, there is Cortana. Otherwise, I believe Word Web is free and may work. See here for discussions of these things: https://www.quora.com/Is-there-a-dictionary-software-on-Windows-like-the-one-on-Mac

Hey thank you for your time bghill. I’ve tried, but there isn’t a French dictionary available. Cortona is not working anymore. For now, I will use an internet page. In the long term, it would be great to develop a plugin that allows seamless access to definitions.
