Deleting tags in batch

It's completely illogical that Zotero allows you to tag thousands of items with a simple missclick (and the undo function that doesn't work!) and yet there's no way to delete these tags in batch.
All the tags I applied one by one in a given collection disappeared, as they were dissolved in the thousands of tags created automatically.
It's impossible to go back (undo function doesn't work).
Now I absolutely must delete them, as I still have valid tags in other collections... But I have to delete them manually one by one...
It makes absolutely no sense to have a mass tag function and no mass remove function in the same interface.
Really, absolute nonsense.

2) Please start new threads for new issues — you posted to an unrelated five-year-old thread for an unrelated feature request. I've moved this to a new thread.
3) I'm not sure what you mean by "Zotero allows you to tag thousands of items with a simple missclick". What misclick, exactly? If you explain what you actually did, we might be able to explain how to fix it.
Here is how to remove a tag from many items at the same time. Source: https://www.zotero.org/support/collections_and_tags This probably don't help you unfortuantely... because you probably need to do it right away after you made the mistake otherwise you lose the selection of which items were mis-tagged. But just so you will know for next time. Or for someone else who comes upon the thread. It is not a very discoverable feature.
