Automatic update does not work on Linux (Mint)
Hello,
I have found several discussions on this topic but they are quite old or not understandable to me (sorry, I'm really not good at informatics), so it would be great if I could get any help with this.
I am using Zotero on a Lenovo x1 carbon, with OS Linux Mint 20.3 Cinnamon.
The zotero folder is located in /home/user
I realized that zotero is not updated as the synchronisation of attached files does not work very well (indeed, quite often some attached files get lost after a while). The program advises me to update but states that automatic update is switched off.

The question is, how can I allow for automatic updates?
Thanks a lot!

dstillmanEither you installed some other way (e.g., zotero-deb) and need to update with that or you need to fix permissions of the program folder.

karlkraehmerThanks. My problem is that I have no idea how to fix the permissions of the program folder.
