Edge extension is manifest v2

Hello all,
I'm wondering about the old manifest version.
It is not allowed anymore. Therefore it can't be used in Edge.
Is there a plan to upgrade it to manifest v3?
Greetings

Why do you think it's not allowed? Microsoft still allows existing MV2 extensions.

MV3 on Chrome and Edge breaks basic Zotero Connector functionality (RIS/BibTeX interception), so we're holding off on updating the Edge version until we actually need to. (Google required the update, so we had no choice for Chrome.)
  • Unfortunately here in the government it's not allowed.
Therefore we need extensions with manifest v3.

I understand that manifest v3 will actually "destroy" your connector extension.
Exists a plan for an upgrade?

I’m not sure why you’re putting quotes around something I didn’t say? It does exactly what I say above — breaks automatic importing of certain bibliographic data exchange files — and I said what we’re waiting for to roll it out for Edge. We haven’t heard of organizations requiring MV3 on an earlier schedule, but if you really need an MV3 version now, you can install the Chrome version in Edge.
  • Can you tell me, what RIS/BibTeX is?
    What functions will not available?
In a short test I was able to save a website into the application.
