Zotero still proxy redirecting to old University

Report ID: 684404467. I have disabled proxies in Zotero options but when I try to access the Jstor database through the shortcut in my favorites folder I get redirected to Gettysburg College where I no longer have access.

I have spoken to Gettysburg IT and they couldn't help me. Is Zotero the problem?

You can remove the old proxy in the connector settings: right-click on the Save to Zotero icon and click Preferences/Extension Options/Settings (exact word depends on your browser). Then click on proxies on the left, select your old proxy and press the - sign below the Configured Proxies window.
  • I had previously disabled, or rather I took the check mark out of the 'Enable proxy redirection' box, so I didn't see the options you described at first, everything was greyed out. I then re-enabled it and then my old proxies became selectable. I deleted all three of them but now when I click on jstor it says, 'access provided by Western Illinois University.' I will go through it again. Should I leave the proxy enabled or disabled?
  • I don't quite understand -- are you at Western Illinois? Then that seems correct.

I like the Proxy feature a lot, so I would keep it enabled, but it's entirely up to you
  • I was at WIU after Gettysburg, but now I'm at Johns Hopkins, which I suppose will be the next proxy? I will keep the proxy enabled as you suggested and try restarting the computer. The universal cure!
