(@tim820: Your answer here wasn't correct at all — not for Zotero and not for a word processor.)
@tn2nyc, the line spacing and the spacing between bibliography entries are controlled by the citation style you're using and should be correct. If you think they're incorrect, you should report it with a link to style guidelines so that we can fix it.
If you specifically want a non-standard spacing, we could tell you how to create a custom style, or you could wait until you're done using Zotero in the document, make a copy (File → "Make a copy"), select the bibliography, and adjust the line or paragraph spacing using the Google Docs settings (Format → "Line & paragraph spacing").
(In Word, you could just adjust the "Bibliography" Word style, but there's nothing equivalent in Google Docs.)
@dstillman@adomasven -- I don't think our most common form of spacing out bibliography entries in CSL (entry-spacing="1", the default) is working in GDocs. See below basically identical documents with Word & GDocs in Harvard Cite Them Right:
This is what it currently looks like in my Google Doc:

Yeah, so that's the issue I note -- Google Docs doesn't recognize the spacing format for bibliographies most styles use. You can follow the instructions in dstillman's post on fixing this once you're done editing. I believe that's currently your only option in GDocs (this would like right in Word/LibreOffice):
wait until you're done using Zotero in the document, make a copy (File → "Make a copy"), select the bibliography, and adjust the line or paragraph spacing using the Google Docs settings (Format → "Line & paragraph spacing").
@tn2nyc: This should be fixed in the latest Zotero Connector for Chrome/Edge/Firefox, 5.0.151. Be sure to reload Google Docs after updating. Thanks for reporting.
Update to the latest version of the Zotero Connector, refresh the Google Docs page and then in the Zotero menu press Refresh. Your bibliography should be updated to have the correct style.
Generally the browser updates extensions and you shouldn't need to do anything. To check if the extension is updated, you need to go to Extension settings, either about:extensions on Edge and Chrome, or about:addons and choose the option to update all extensions.
You can just try refreshing the Google Docs page and using Refresh in the Zotero menu. If the bibliography styling is corrected - you're already running the fixed version.
