Google Docs: Citations unlinked when copying between documents
[Split from Citations and bibliography always unlink when I paste it to another Google docs]
I can confirm this is still a problem. Essentially the same 1-4 steps can reproduce but with "Add/Edit citation" instead.
Platform: Windows 10, Firefox, Google docs
Zotero Connector: 5.0.147
Zotero Desktop: 7.0.11 (64-bit)
I was translating a document with two versions open in separate windows. I pasted the citation number from one document to the other several times, all those became unlinked as soon as I added a new citation in the document.
Doing the same thing works fine when copy-pasting within the same document.
I couldn't find a github issue corresponding to this problem, should I open it?

adomasvenCan you confirm that this doesn't work with two new documents? Do you use any software that interacts with your clipboard somehow?
