Two-page view toggle missing on pdf viewer

I really like the integrated pdf viewer of zotero, it made the already great app much better.

However, what really hinders my workflow is that there is no button(s) to switch between one-page and two-page layout.

You always need to go to via the view menu. For me, and I believe many others that are used to e.g. acrobat, this is such an essential button that needs to be there, switchin back and forth between the two views I do quite frequently, depending on the current paper formatting, split-screen mode, pushing to a different size screen etc.

I am almost at the point of switchin back to my sytem pdf viewer, its quite baffling to me why it was decided to not include these buttons, especially as almost everything else has a toggle and there is still so much space left in the ribbon.

I can understand if developers want to keep the ribbon nead and clean, but the user should at least be able to hide and unhide toggles that are essential to them..

I dont mean viewing two pdfs side by side, I mean two-page view (same pdf with two succesive pages side by side). In the English version it is called "Odd Spreads" and "Even Spreads" I found out now.

Ah, OK. We'll be adding an appearance button in the toolbar in an upcoming update, and that will include the spread options in a popup panel. View options will also be persisted for a given document, so you won't have to change this every time you switch between documents.

There are too many options to add buttons for each one directly to the toolbar, at least until there's a customizable toolbar, which won't be happening anytime soon. So for now these need to be in some sort of menu.

(The split options are also about the same PDF, not two PDFs. We could consider adding the spread options to the context menu as well.)
  • I understand, thanks a lot for your work!

(Also thanks for pointing out the split option inside same pdf, looks handy)
