Journal of Applied Ecology citations incorrectly formatted
I'm having this issue with another citation style as well, so perhaps it relates to a setting or something else rather than the JAE style. For some of my in-text citations, Zotero adds the first author's initials (which should not be present). I don't see a pattern in which citations include versus don't include initials.
I have encountered this issue on two Macs (running Sonoma and Big Sur) while using Word (the most recent version and whatever version Big Sur supports) and Firefox, and across several versions of Zotero.
Any idea how I can fix this?

elichtenYes, that seems likely. Thanks! I enter names as they are published for each article, which can lead to an author being inconsistently named. Making names consistent in my library, as the linked page suggests, would produce incorrect citations.
