Page range detection?
I have never been able to get Zotero to detect page ranges accurately for the purposes of metadata (in the "information" field). It does seem to be detecting pages somehow because in the PDF reader, it properly detects which printed page I am on (maybe p. 785 in the volume) as well as which PDF page I'm on (maybe p. 5). But that doesn't show up in the metadata, and thus it cannot be used in the citation produced. I always have to manually enter this. Is there something I'm doing wrong?
I'm in Zotero 7, MacOS Sequoia 15.2.

Also, if you create a highlight and then add it to a note, it should display the correct page number.
The metadata pages field is just empty. (And yes, the correct page number does show when I highlight a passage and add it to a note. The problem just seems to be with the pages field.)
I would say the empty field happens 90-95% of the time. And just in case this is relevant: I was looking through to find a few "success" examples (somewhat hard to identify, because I sometimes manually add the pages ranges), and I believe they tend to be from more empirical journals. Most of my sources are from law or philosophy journals.
