Synching & library transfer

I set up a Zotero account and have been using it for 18 months. Unfortunately, I have been unable to sync my library because I can't remember my password, and when I ask it to email me a new password, it doesn't go to any of my email addresses. I now have a second issue: my laptop screen is broken, so I have a new laptop but can't access my current Zotero library from my new laptop. I have set up a new account but need to transfer all of my library to my new account. What is the best way to do this as I was hoping to avoid copying each doi on an individual basis as there are over 400 references stored and re-referencing my thesis
  • Delete the new account and email us at support@zotero.org with details of the old account.

    (Just to be clear, you emailed us after my message above, and you posted about not receiving a response two hours later, on a Saturday… We frequently provide support outside of standard business hours, but you'll need to be a little more patient here.)

    There's no Zotero account with the username you sent via email. Note that an account isn't required to use Zotero, so it's entirely possible you were just using Zotero locally without syncing. You said you tried resetting other email addresses. If you provide those via email, we can confirm that those also aren't associated with accounts, but otherwise your data would just be on your old computer, and your only option would be to transfer the data from there.
