Issue Description: While running Zotero 7.0.11, I am unable to use the note-taking feature. Even with the BetterNote plugin disabled, note-taking is still not functional. When trying to make a note in a new note entry, Zotero crashes and prompts me to report the software defect.
  • Crashes as in closes completely, or do you get a message in the middle pane saying it needs to be restarted?

    Restart in Troubleshooting Mode (Help → "Restart in Troubleshooting Mode…”), which temporarily disables all plugins. If that fixes it, you'll need to identify the plugin that's causing it and then report the problem to the plugin's developer.
  • Thank you for your reply. When the interface crashes, I get a message in the middle pane saying it needs to be restarted, and the entire Zotero interface becomes unclickable. I tried restarting in Troubleshooting Mode (Help → "Restart in Troubleshooting Mode…”) but it didn’t work then.

    I also tried disabling all plugins and switching Zotero versions, but nothing worked.

    However, after I returned from lunch, the issue resolved itself!
