Zotero7 PDF reader font display issues(正式版内置PDF阅读器字体显示问题)

As u can see, the image on the left is the pdf font for the Edge browser, and the image on the right is the pdf font for Zotero 7. The pdf font display in Zotero is very difficult to read.

It has the same problem in Zotero 6, too.
  • It looks like Edge and Adobe Reader have optimized the font, and maybe that's what the original font for pdf is. Sorrow... ... :(
  • Cannot reproduce on macOS with Zotero 7.0:

It might be due to a plugin. If you are using any plugin, you could try restarting in Troubleshooting Mode (from the Help menu) and see what happens. If you still can reproduce, you'll have to wait for a dev to ask for more details.
  • Well, I followed those steps, and it's still there. Sorrow again... ...:(
My most used plugins haven't been updated yet, so only the translator and Better Notes plugins are installed. A billion of sorrow ... ...:(
    Thanks for answering.
  • The PDF file doesn’t include embedded fonts, so fallback fonts are used, which can lead to unpredictable results. You can try opening the PDF in Acrobat Reader and saving a new copy. This should embed the fonts.
  • Ah, makes sense. Thanks martynas_b
  • mactype may solve this problem
  • Hello, I also encountered the same problem, but I solved it. I found that it was caused by a lack of fonts on my computer. I installed the NewCenturySchlbk family font to solve the abnormal display of my fonts. You should be able to solve the problem by installing the corresponding missing fonts. I hope this can help you.
In addition, martynas_b is right, it is true that the corresponding fonts are not embedded in the PDF. But as long as these fonts are installed on the computer, the display problem can be solved.
