rename .html too

In zotero's file renaming settings, there are options for pdfs, ebooks, ... but nothing for .html.

I'd also like it if html files were renamed too, both on initial download (snapshots), or when an html file is added and when the "rename file from parent metadata" command is run.
  • I agree. Prior to v 5.0.93 (2020), when Zotero saved HTML snapshots to their own folder (with of all the little files that are usually part of a web page), it made sense for HTML snapshots to be treated differently to other attachment types. But now that they are saved to a single HTML file, that no longer really makes sense. All possible attachment file types should have the option to be renamed by Zotero, whether in local storage or as linked files. A list of file extensions to be renamed may be better to facilitate that, as the current v7 renaming categories are not unambiguously associated with particular extensions (except "PDF").

Looks like there is a hidden preference to get HTML files renamed by Zotero. It works for me.

  • @tim820, thanks but I couldn't get this to work, and neither could others. Huh...
