separate footnotes for each reference

Hi,
Using Chicago or other styles 'with notes', I get one note (superscript number and footnote) if I cite multiple articles.
How to get a separate note (and superscript number) for each article cited?
So for example, if I cite four articles, not like this1, with all four in one note, but like this1,2,3,4, with four separate notes.
  • You need to move the curser away and then click on Add/Edit citation again. What way it will create a new one for you.
  • But I suspect you don't actually want a note style like Chicago -- the Chicago Manual e.g. says very clearly not to do this. Any style we call 'numeric' (Vancouver, IEEE, Nature, e.g.) will do this automatically
  • Thak you both. Adam I need the numbers in superscript in the text (for every cited reference a number) and the associated bibliography entry on every same page as footnote.
    Is that possible with Zotero?
I hope I am describing this properly, can't find an example at the moment..
  • No, you can get superscript numbers and numbered bibliography at the back (that's Nature style, e.g.), but not in the footer.
