APA indentation is wrong

edited 8 days ago
From all I understand, and based on the APA overview linked below, in the References section of a paper, the the first line of a referenced source should be in line with the left margin (someone please correct me if I'm missing anything there).

But based on that, the format is incorrect for a reference when I drag and drop or copy and paste a reference into Google Docs from the Mac desktop program (most recent one, 7.0.9). If helpful, the image below is a screenshot--you'll see the top reference is after I edited it to the format I described above, all the rest are how they look when I drag or paste from the program.

Thoughts, advice?

  • It seems like the Google Docs editor is not interpreting the citation Zotero generates correctly. It appears correct in Word or LibreOffice.

However we recommend to use our official integration plugin in Google Docs, which will format citations correctly with APA. You can find it under the Zotero menu in Google Docs.

Thanks, that does seem to work, appreciate that!!
  • PS - If there is anything you all end up figuring out with the copy and paste or drag and drop option w/Google Docs, please just let me know--it seems a little more fluid and easy for me to use, but glad to know I can use the plugin too. Thanks again!
