failure to upload pdf

I recently upgraded my Zotero version and bought more space, but I am still failing to upload or attach PDF files. Please assist.
  • What exactly do you mean by that? See Steps to Reproduce for the kind of description we need. You can also include a screenshot.
  • I mean after downloading a PDF file I want, I drag it onto Zotero, and it should respond by making the file available in Zotero. That is not happening at all, after dragging there is no action.
  • That's not how you would normally save things to Zotero — you would generally use the Zotero Connector — but it should work, and it wouldn't have anything to do with Zotero Storage.

You're saying you download the file to disk and drag it into the Zotero app and nothing appears?

Where exactly are you trying to drag? Are you in either the root of My Library or a regular collection you created?

Can you provide a Debug ID for an attempt that fails?
  • I have never used Zotero Connector. I have just added it.
A new problem reporting full disk.

Error(s) encountered during statement execution: database or disk is full
    [JavaScript Error: "NS_ERROR_FILE_NO_DEVICE_SPACE: Component returned failure code: 0x80520010 (NS_ERROR_FILE_NO_DEVICE_SPACE) [nsIFile.copyToFollowingLinks]" {file: "chrome://zotero/content/xpcom/file.js" line: 1006}]
Right, so you're out of disk space.
  • I bought this morning 2GB of space, you mean its already full before use?
  • No, again, nothing to do with Zotero Storage or Zotero specifically. Your computer's disk is full.
  • I do not save anything on this computer save apps such as Zotero, I work using external drivers so there is space.

I mean, it's your filesystem — you can just look at it in File Explorer. This error implies that the disk where you're storing your Zotero data directory is full. We can't provide general OS guidance here, so you'll need to resolve this. Again, this is not a problem in Zotero — your OS is telling Zotero that the disk is full.
