Betterbibtex & zotero 7 citation key api

I am getting a bit concerned that I will have to go back to Zotero 6 since the only plugin I depend on (betterbibtex) has only partial support in Zotero 7 because a specific API (citekey display/edit field ) has been requested since Jul 2023 with the last update in Feb 2024. I can't see the citation keys once I refresh them, for instance.

Can Zotero 7 display citation keys, allow editing, freezing keys, and automatically export citation keys from a collection? And replicate betterbibtex citation style?

I'm not sure what you mean by that, but the API in question is just to allow plugins to create custom field rows in the Info section. That's still coming (pretty soon, now that we've taken care of some higher priorities in the initial Z7 releases), but BBT can already place the citation key in a dedicated item pane section. So it's just about where exactly it's displayed in the item pane.
  • I see. I think the issue I mention is then a bug with betterbibtex.
    Thanks
