ZoteroBib accessibility

Please can you change the colour of the outline and text within the search box on ZoteroBib to give it higher contrast. I showed the site to a visually impaired student and whilst she is impressed with the site she found it very difficult to see the search box. I suspect its current colours would fail the WCAG guidelines,
  • I assume you mean the border of the search input field when it isn't focused, as well as the placeholder/prompt text within the search box, since the actual text that users input is black on white.

We can't make the placeholder darker because its shade serves a purpose here, helping to distinguish it from the actual search entry. This is a common web pattern, but we can explore alternative approaches. The border should be easier to address, and we should be able to make it darker.
  • Yes I mean the border of the search input field and prompt text. if you could make the border colour darker that would be a big help in visually locating the box for those with visual impairments, thanks
  • We’ve deployed a new version with multiple accessibility improvements, including a border around the main search input and adjustments to colors to meet WCAG 2 AA requirements.
  • thanks so much for this and for doing it so quickly. Not all companies are so responsive to accessibility requests
