Scrolling on mobile for web ePub reader

Sorry for the dumb question but it seems like the only way to scroll on the web ePub reader on mobile is via using the page up/down buttons. Am I missing something obvious? I am using the Safari browser on iPad.

You should be able to swipe from the left/right sides of the screen to turn the page.

That doesn't seem to work. Also tried w/ Chrome on iPad, same behavior. Not sure if there's an iPad setting I need to change.

I’m experiencing this on iOS, as well — the only way to turn pages is using the little arrow buttons.
