[7.0.7-beta.4] Cannot navigate text in annotation editor with arrow keys

edited October 3, 2024
Hi all,
when trying to edit text in the annotation editor, I've noticed that arrow key presses always seem to be captured by the central reader pane; instead of moving the cursor they exit the annotation editor and go to the next/previous page.
  • We'll fix that—thanks.

    Fixed now in 7.0.8
  • Works perfectly again, thank you!

Edit: Seems to have been a fluke or a problem with my laptop, sorry.
  • Dear Martynas,

I think there is still a problem with highlighting words in the annotation and it turns out it is not a fluke, but just only reproducible under certain conditions.

    To reproduce:

    1. In the reader pane, select a highlight annotation.
    2. Double click the annotation in the annotation pane.
    3. Press Ctrl+Shift+Left Arrow to highlight a word.

    Result: The annotation loses focus.
Expected result: The word left of the cursor is highlighted.

The same problem does not occur when the annotation is first selected in the annotation pane instead of the reader pane.
  • @samvimes Ok, I can reproduce this. We'll fix it. Thanks.
  • Perfect, thank you!
