iPad - Error: Unable to unzip snapshot

I downloaded a PDF file on my iPad Zotero, but it can't be opened with the information "iPad - Error: Unable to unzip snapshot". Only this pdf faces this problem, when I open another pdf file, it can work normally. I use Webdav to store the PDF files, and
I tried to verify the server on my iPad and Mac version Zotero, but it still can't be opened on my iPad even though the Mac version PDF files work well.

  • Hey @wuhuichn, thanks for the feedback, we'll look into it.
    In the meantime, can you please try the following:
    - tap and hold this item to get the context menu
    - select the action "Remove Download"
    - tap again the item to download and open

    Let us know if this fixes your issue.
  • Hello @mvasilak, I have followed your advice step by step, but it still reports 'unable to unzip snapshot'.
  • Can you also try this for me:
    - Copy the file in your desktop and rename it to not have "รถ" in its name.
    - Add this copy to Zotero desktop and sync.
    - Start a debug log.
    - Try to open this copy in iOS.
    - Stop the debug log and post the id here.

    These steps may not copy your annotations on the document, but it will provide us some more helpful details.
  • Thank you @mvasilak. It works. I added a new PDF file to the Zotero desktop and made some highlights and notes in the new file. After I finished syncing the file on the desktop and reopened it in the iOS Zotero app, the PDF file could be opened. The debug ID is D1558905426.
