Increased storage quota but it is not increasing storage

I paid to increase my quota, but the system will not load more than the 300 MB. I tried replacing the online library, but the amount of storage used went down a bit. But most of my PDF files will not upload. I disabled ZotFile as recommended in another thread. I also used the Reset File Sync History option, but it did not work. I have tried manually syncing some of the files that I can see have not uploaded, but it will not do it. It is like the system has not recognized that I purchased additional storage. I only have one account. The Storage screen shows that I upgraded.

I am still using version 6 because I am not sure if my connection to Obsidian will continue to work when I upgrade to 7, and I do not have time right now to be playing with this to figure that out.

Please help.
  • Can you say what exactly happens/doesn't happen? If you're out of storage, you'd get a specific error message. Are you? If you're not getting an error https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/files_not_syncing
Also, how much storage does your current account
  • When you say you "disabled Zotfile", that presumably means that your attachment files were linked files, not stored files (under Zotero\storage) ?

In order for linked files to now sync online (ie able to be opened from the web library), you would need to convert them to stored files. That's assuming you now have a sufficient file storage quota for them all, and have file syncing turned ON.

You convert linked files to stored files by selecting the items, and then Tools\Manage Attachments\Convert Linked Files to Stored Files (best to do that in small chunks). On the next sync, they should get uploaded.
  • There is no error message. It simply does not upload the PDF files (and other notes) online (Zotero.org). I should not be out of storage because I have only used 278 MB and I paid for 2 GB.

All my files are stored files not attached files. I only disabled ZotFiles (and it is back enabled) because of a comment in a different thread. I am not sure what ZotFiles do but I need it for the process that I implemented to move information from Zotero to Obsidian.

Other than using the little circled green arrow in the upper right corner and in settings telling it to Replace Online Library, what other options do I have to tell it to sync my PC library with the online library?

What else can I do to make sure that all my notes and attachments are uploaded to the online library?

    Thank you.
  • I linked to troubleshooting steps for files not syncing
  • @cferranu: You're currently using 1.7 GB in your online library.

(Replace Online Library isn't something you should ever use for troubleshooting.)
