Only Sync Group Libraries

I only want to sync Group Libraries but not my personal library. When I set this in the App setting on my Mac, it still synchronizes between app and cloud.

    The point of syncing is to make your data and files available on all devices. There are options to avoid downloading data and files to a given device, but not to keep libraries entirely local while continuing to sync other data.

    Disabling that setting would prevent Zotero from automatically syncing new data in either direction. It's really just meant for if you don't need a given library on a given device, and in a future update that will just remove the local copy of the library (after making sure it's been fully synced). It doesn't remove previously synced data from your online library. There's no way to do that without deleting data, which would then delete your local data if the library every synced.

    Thank you for the quick reply. I can understand the approach, but I regret it.

    I have my personal, large library and 2 shared libraries with my team. I only need access to my own library on my computer.

    However, the total data size now forces me to buy the next larger data package, although this would not be necessary for the group libraries only.

    If that's your only concern, you can just disable file syncing for My Library in the Sync settings and then use Purge Storage in My Library from your storage settings page. You can then use your storage quota for the groups you own.
