Promblems adding new citations

I updated the Zotero, and now I am having problems. I cannot add a new citation in Word; the system shows some sync problems. Can someone please help me?

It seems that my problem is solved; it does not display any message, and I could add a new citation. I restarted the PC and Word also. Thank you for your time.

I've restarted both Word and Zotero and also gone through some of the troubleshooting tips but I'm still having citation issues. Specifically, when I'm in Word and use the "add/edit citation" from the Zotero plugin, I can call up my sources from Zotero, where they appear correctly. However, when I hit enter to input them into Word, only the author name appears but not the publication date. I have the formatting for both Word and Zotero both set to MLA. I'm running Word for Mac using Big Sur. Please help.

MLA doesn't include the publication date in text typically. So, that's by design.

If you use something like APA you'd get the typical Author-date citations.
