I am using Zotero-7.0.5_linux-x86_64 on ubuntu 22(Linux mist 6.8.0-40-generic #40~22.04.3-Ubuntu). I tried Zotero connector for Firefox and Chrome for multiple IEEE Xplore papers. Both don't work and raised the error above.
