Zotero 7 not closing when out of focus

Hi,
I am running Zotero 7 on macOS 14.6.1, M1 chip, and it does not close when the main window is not in focus. If I click on the icon in the dock and select Exit, it does not close and requires forcing the exit. The same happens if I try to turn off the mac without closing it beforehand: it halts and waits for Zotero to close, continuing only after forcing the exit.
I updated Zotero to the latest version, but it did not solve my issue.

    I'm not seeing that. Can you reproduce this in Troubleshooting Mode (Help → "Restart in Troubleshooting Mode…”), which temporarily disables all plugins?

    Thank you for your reply. I did what you suggested and it worked. Then, I had a look to the plugins and I found that BetterBibTex is causing the issue. I will look for updates in the near future to fix the problem. Thanks
