My annotations are locked - cant edit or make notes from them?

Hi all,

Just trying to organise my notes and not able to edit or extract annotations from one of my PDFs. Is there any way to fix this? Other pdfs work fine.

    The lock icon means the annotations were created externally and saved to the PDF. To transfer them to your Zotero database, use File → Import Annotations from the reader. (But you'd be able to add them to notes regardless.)
  • Hi Dan, is there any option to import annotations automatically by syncing?
  • @shahram7: No — importing annotations removes the annotations from the PDF file and transfers them to the Zotero database, so we felt it needed to be a manual operation with a confirmation prompt.
