the new version of Zotero 7 does not communicate with my Microsoft Word version, and I do not know h
I use Zotero 6, 32-bit version for my Ph.D. research, and I am not technically savvy with it, but Zotero does a great job assisting me in referencing my sources using APA.
On august 15th 2024 I saw that there was a notice that I needed to upgrade Zotero 6 32-bit, to Zotero 7 64-bit.
I followed the instructions. The update and the plug in for Word was installed but when I tried to reference a book in my text of a paper I am writing, I got a message I never saw before.
The message was from Microsoft Word and read as follows:
Word could not communicate with Zotero. Please ensure Zotero is running and try again.
If this problem persists, see (and I got a trouble shooting link).
I ensured that Zotero was running. It was running fine. I could even put in new references in Zotero, but Zotero did not communicate with Microsoft Word.
I tried to reinstall the plug in. It showed that it was plugged in. but I still could not get Zotero to communicate.
I went on the trouble shooting link and looked up the specific solution for the problem: Issues with word processor plugins.
I followed the instructions but that did not help.
I am desperate, I need to finish a paper and I cannot get Zotero to communicate with my word processor Microsoft Word, Please help!!
