Word plugin no longer works since update

Hi, I'm in the process of writing my final thesis. Since the links of the in-text citations did not work, I have updated Zotero. Since then I get the error message ‘Word could not communicate with Zotero. Pleae ensure Zotero is running and try again.’ As you can imagine, it is running...

Any thoughts?

(But I think you're confused about "links of the in-text citations". That's not a feature of Zotero 7 — the thread you tried to post to was about a feature in the PDF reader.)

Ah okay, thanks so far.
So if I understand you correctly, I can't click on the quote e.g. (Simpson, 2024) to get to the end of my document where it says ‘Simpson, Homer (2024), TV Show...’.
This link is only created by the PDF reader itself?

Correct, that's not currently a feature of the word processor plugins. People have shared Word macros in these forums to do so.

We plan to add that as an optional feature when unlinking citations in a future version.

Okay, I had to reinstall the plugin. Now it is working again. Thanks a lot :)
