Google Scholar import failing

Hi There,

I'm using 2.0b7.4 on Snow Leopard in FF 3.5 and Google Scholar results are no longer importing. I get the yellow folder and the list of items to select from in the location bar, but I just a blank message box in the lower right and no item imported or error message when I attempt to import. I've reset my translators, but this didn't help. Is this a known issue (I've searched the forums but can't find any recent reports of this)? Here's an example of a failing result – attempt to import a citation:

http://scholar.google.com/scholar?hl=en&q=history+of+electronic+architecture+variable+acoustics&as_sdt=2000&as_ylo=&as_vis=0

Many thanks for any help!

Peter
  • Works for me. See Troubleshooting Translator Issues, particularly steps 5 and 6. If those don't help, post a Report ID and a Debug ID for the save attempt.
  • The 3rd party cookie thing (step 5) did the trick. However, if I don't want to accept 3rd party cookies across the board, do I just set an exception for 'scholar.google.com'. I guess my question is, where is the 3rd party cookie coming from that needs to be accepted - Zotero or Google Scholar? Many thanks Dan!

  • Google Scholar. (It's not really a third-party cookie, but this is a Firefox limitation that extensions face in 3.5 that will be fixed in 3.6.)
