Cannot Add Note or Citation in Word

I've been using Zotero for two weeks without any issues but all of a sudden it stopped letting me insert notes for the reference list. After this, it also stopped letting me add citations. It kept showing this message. I've tried some trouble shooting steps I've seen on the Zotero help page, including updating Zotero and uninstalling and reinstalling the plug in but the issue persists. What do I do? Below is the message it keeps showing.

    What message? That's the Add Note window showing a note from your library. If you're trying to add a citation, you need to Esc out of that and click Add/Edit Citation.

    as in, that TLDR thing is what keeps popping up, or even without that and just the yellow box when I want to insert the reference link. I can Add/Edit Citation just fine, but for some reason now when I try to Insert Note, that yellow box is all that pops up instead of my whole reference list. Initially after starting up Word, I can add citations, after Insert Note and this yellow box popping up, I can no longer insert any more citations either, all that pops up is that box, sometimes with the TLDR. I have to restart Word and Zotero again to be able to insert citations once more, however, restarting doesn't help for Insert Note.

    Yes, again, that's the Add Note window — it appears when you click Add Note. It's displaying one of the notes in your library. Again, you have to either insert a note or actually close the yellow window by pressing Esc if you then want to insert a citation. If you just click outside of it, it will just go behind your other windows, and any plugin button will just bring it to the front.

    Everything is working normally here.

    I've been told I'm supposed to Add/Insert Bibliography for the reference list. Nvm, I'm sorry. Thank you for trying to help.
